I am sure that by now each of you have heard about the closure of school after Wednesday. Due to this information, we will move the prom to Wednesday afternoon. We will discuss additional details as we arrive to school on Monday.
National Honor Society Induction tomorrow morning at the high school gym at 9 a.m.
Congrats to the following band members. Holden Guyton and Jessica Tidwell make District Honor Band. Jessica Tidwell also made All-State Band. In addition to this we had a middle school student, Corbin Bryant make the middle school All District Honor Band. GREAT JOB PIRATES!
The deadline to apply for an Alfa Foundation Scholarship* or an Alabama Farmers Agriculture Foundation Scholarship is rapidly approaching. Please encourage your college-bound friends and family members to apply. Applications for both scholarships can be found at http://www.alfafarmers.org.
To be eligible for an Alfa Foundation Scholarship, the scholarship applicant must be a member of the Alabama Farmers Federation, and the membership must be issued in the name of the scholarship applicant. High school seniors and post-secondary undergraduates enrolled or planning to enroll in a two or four-year college, university or technical school in the state of Alabama should apply. One hundred scholarships worth $1,000 each will be awarded statewide. The application deadline is January 31, 2020.
In addition, the Alabama Farmers Agriculture Foundation will award up to sixty-seven $1,750 scholarships for students majoring in agriculture or forestry at Auburn University and Alabama A&M University. The application deadline for this scholarship is also January 31, 2020.
