🎉 Homecoming Parade Route Update! 🎉
We’re excited to share a special update to this year’s Homecoming Parade! The parade route has been amended so that our floats will pass by the local nursing home, giving residents the chance to enjoy the excitement and Homecoming spirit from the parade route.
We’re looking forward to sharing a little extra school spirit with our community and making this year’s parade a celebration for everyone! 💙🏠🎊

WCHS Homecoming Parade lineup and route.
The parade will start on Apache Street by the Church of Christ. It will turn right onto Highway 118, then make a left at the second red light in front of Pizza Bar. After passing Frisco Street Bakery, take a left onto 43 near the Gold Connection. Next, turn right at the main red light to return to 118. Finally, take a left on Apache Street to finish the parade.

Journeys will not meet today, 10/1, due to a teacher's extended day. Journeys will not meet Friday, 10/2, due to 60% day.

Winfield City High School and Winfield City Career Technical Academy Clubs are partnering to sell shirts in support of a family of our own. All proceeds will be donated to the family of Mr. Chad Beasley, whose daughter, Sophie, is currently undergoing cancer treatment. Paper copies of forms will also be sent home with students.

William Box was named District 7S Middle School Assistant Principal of the Year.

Winfield City Middle School will be serving Pizza Hut Pizza on Monday, September 21st for lunch. All enrolled students eat free. Students may purchase additional slices of pizza for $2.50.

Students from all Winfield City Schools campuses will be joining us, and we want to see our entire Pirate community dressed in WHITE and ready to show their Winfield spirit!

Reminder: Tomorrow, August 18 is school picture day at Winfield Middle School. It is also a Hawaiian-themed dress up day for our first football game.

Reminder: We need all student's registration done. If you need a snapcode or help registering please contact the middle school.

Please follow the direction of the arrows and don't go against traffic. Also note; the subtle change in 5/6 drop off and pickup. If you have a 5/6 grade student with a 7/8 older sibling, you will use 7/8 drop off and pickup for both students.

This message is for the parents of students entering the 6th grade for the 26-27 school year. This is a reminder that all students entering the 6th grade must have a Tdap Vaccine (Tetanus Booster) BEFORE school starts on August 5, 2026. Your child can receive this vaccine from their regular doctor or the Marion County Health Deptartment. You may bring your updated Alabama Immunization Record or Exemption Record to Open House on Monday, August 3, 2026.

Report cards for last year's Winfield Middle School students are now available for pickup at the middle school. Parents/guardians will also need to pick up the snapcode to register their student for the upcoming school year. Monday - Thursday 7:00 -4:30.
