Senior season is here! Get ready for a month full of milestones, celebrations, and unforgettable moments! From exams and awards nights to Baccalaureate and Graduation, May is packed. We are looking forward to celebrating these outstanding students.

We were honored to welcome meteorologist James Spann to Winfield City High School! He shared an inspiring message with our students about the importance of following your passion in life to achieve success. 🌟 His words truly resonated with everyone in the room, and both our students and faculty absolutely loved the experience. Today we had the honor of inducting our students into the National Technical Honor Society. This recognition reflects the hard work, dedication, and commitment each of these students has shown in their CTE programs. Congratulations to each of these students on this well-earned accomplishment.

We are thankful for the opportunity to celebrate Bryant-Jordan Student-Athlete scholarship winners Jack Hayden Cook and Gunner Cagle tonight at the reception in Birmingham. A total of 104 regional recipients were chosen from thousands of student-athletes across the state.

Today, our faculty and staff proudly showed their support for Autism Acceptance by wearing red for the “Red Instead” movement and neurodiversity-themed attire ❤️♾️

April 2 is World Autism Awareness Day, but more importantly, it is a day to celebrate acceptance, understanding, and the unique strengths of individuals with autism and all forms of neurodiversity. The “Red Instead” movement encourages us to move beyond awareness and focus on inclusion, respect, and valuing every individual for who they are.

We are so proud of our team for coming together to support our students and promote a culture where everyone belongs.

The Winfield Special Education Department is thrilled to announce our 1st Annual Friendship Field Day! 🎉

This event is designed for students who benefit from additional support, creating a space where everyone can participate, connect, and enjoy the day. Students will engage in fun, inclusive activities while building friendships and celebrating what makes each of them unique.

Winfield City Schools celebrated the Artemis II launch on Wednesday afternoon by having moonpies for lunch.

Registration is now open for Pirate Pre-K, our preschool program located at the CTE Building.

Winfield City Schools will be celebrating the NASA Artemis II launch on Wednesday, April 1st, at lunch with moon pies. This will be the first time since Apollo that astronauts will travel around the moon and back. The target launch is expected at 6:24 pm EDT on Wednesday, April 1st.
