April 2 is World Autism Awareness Day, but more importantly, it is a day to celebrate acceptance, understanding, and the unique strengths of individuals with autism and all forms of neurodiversity. The “Red Instead” movement encourages us to move beyond awareness and focus on inclusion, respect, and valuing every individual for who they are.
We are so proud of our team for coming together to support our students and promote a culture where everyone belongs.
And what better day to share some exciting news…
The Winfield Special Education Department is thrilled to announce our 1st Annual Friendship Field Day! 🎉
This event is designed for students who benefit from additional support, creating a space where everyone can participate, connect, and enjoy the day. Students will engage in fun, inclusive activities while building friendships and celebrating what makes each of them unique.
More details to come soon—we are so excited for what’s ahead! 💙

Winfield City Schools showed up in BLUE and YELLOW this morning to celebrate -World Down Syndrome Day-
While the official day is actually tomorrow, March 21, we wanted to take the time to recognize and celebrate the beauty of differences!
We are thankful for the opportunity to promote awareness, acceptance, and inclusion for all students. Our schools are better because of the diversity and uniqueness that each child brings.

Attention Winfield City High School families! Please join us for an Information Night on Monday, April 6, at 6:00 PM in the commons.

This experience provided our students with valuable, real-world insight into various professions, helping them better understand the skills, expectations, and opportunities within their chosen career pathways. Opportunities like this play a vital role in preparing our students for life after high school and empowering them to make informed decisions about their futures.
We are incredibly grateful to each business, organization, and individual who invested their time in mentoring and guiding our students. Your support makes a lasting impact, and we truly appreciate your partnership in helping shape the next generation.
A special thank you to Mrs. Taylor for organizing this event and ensuring everything ran smoothly. Her dedication and hard work made this opportunity possible for our students.
