Mr. Cook & Mr. Williams,
I teach special needs bus recertification classes & for the last 3 years, I’ve taught at Winfield Elementary School. I travel around the state daily & WES has become one of my favorite schools to visit. I’ve enjoyed seeing staff & students dress for Dr. Seuss Week, staff helping students out of cars in morning drop off, and a general friendly/happy attitude. Thursday, I was teaching at WES & had the opportunity to witness the Student of the Month ceremonies; it was awesome! I loved the parent involvement, music, student excitement, & teacher participation. So many times when I’m at schools, I hear the negatives or difficulties, it was so uplifting to witness the positives being celebrated.
In closing, thank you for creating an inviting environment where it truly seems that students are flourishing.
