Today, our faculty and staff proudly showed their support for Autism Acceptance by wearing red for the “Red Instead” movement and neurodiversity-themed attire ❤️♾️

April 2 is World Autism Awareness Day, but more importantly, it is a day to celebrate acceptance, understanding, and the unique strengths of individuals with autism and all forms of neurodiversity. The “Red Instead” movement encourages us to move beyond awareness and focus on inclusion, respect, and valuing every individual for who they are.

We are so proud of our team for coming together to support our students and promote a culture where everyone belongs.

And what better day to share some exciting news…

The Winfield Special Education Department is thrilled to announce our 1st Annual Friendship Field Day! 🎉

This event is designed for students who benefit from additional support, creating a space where everyone can participate, connect, and enjoy the day. Students will engage in fun, inclusive activities while building friendships and celebrating what makes each of them unique.

More details to come soon—we are so excited for what’s ahead! 💙

Winfield City Schools showed up in BLUE and YELLOW this morning to celebrate -World Down Syndrome Day-

While the official day is actually tomorrow, March 21, we wanted to take the time to recognize and celebrate the beauty of differences!
We are thankful for the opportunity to promote awareness, acceptance, and inclusion for all students. Our schools are better because of the diversity and uniqueness that each child brings.
