Alabama has passed a new law that requires schools to follow a specific process when threats are made against a school or at school. This new law and its impact on our schools will be discussed during tonight’s Community Safety Meeting at 6:00 p.m. in the Winfield Elementary School Auditorium.

Please join us tonight, Thursday, July 30 at the Winfield Elementary School Auditorium at 6PM for an important evening focused on keeping our children and community safe. You will hear from our Winfield Police Department, Fire Department, Marion County EMA, and Winfield City Schools about important information about school safety, emergency preparedness, and how we can work together to protect our children. This is a message from Winfield Park and Rec. The pool party for Winfield Park and Rec today, Wednesday, July 22nd, at the Fayette Aquatic Center is still on from 7:45-9:45 pm.

Strawbridge Studios will be at your school on 8/18/2026 to photograph your Fall pictures.

It's time for Parking & Locker Assignment Day! Make plans to stop by on Friday, July 31, during your designated class time to purchase your required locker for the 2026–2027 school year and receive your parking assignment (if applicable).

🕙 10:00–11:00 AM – Sophomores
🕚 11:00 AM–12:00 PM – Freshmen

Winfield City High School supply list.

All enrolled students in Winfield City Schools will receive a free breakfast and a free lunch during the upcoming school year.
No application is required to participate. Free breakfast and lunch are available through the district’s participation in the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP).

This is a friendly reminder that the high school main building will be closed for a safety drill today. The indoor athletic building remains open. All other campuses are open as normal today.

On Monday, July 13, Winfield City Schools will conduct a school safety training at Winfield High School.

During the training, the high school campus will be closed to all visitors and employees. Please do not report to the high school unless you have been specifically assigned to participate in the training.

The high school will resume normal summer operations on Tuesday, July 14.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation as we continue to prioritize the safety and security of our students, employees, and schools.

All other campuses will be open and under normal summer hours.
