Our students attended Business and Industry Day at the BSCC Fayette Campus, where they had the opportunity to explore potential career paths, engage in real-life financial scenarios, and connect with local industry representatives about career opportunities.
Experiences like this help students see how classroom learning connects to the real world and empowers them to start planning for life after high school. We’re proud of our juniors for representing our school so well! 👏

Congratulations to the Bryant Jordan Scholarship Student Athlete Program Class 3A Region 5 Winners! Both students will receive a $3,000 scholarship for being selected as Region Winners. They will represent our school, area, and region in Birmingham this April, where they will have the opportunity to earn additional scholarships.

TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 3, 2026, WINFIELD HEALTH SERVICES, ALONG WITH ENCORE REHABILITATION, WILL CONDUCT SCOLIOSIS SCREENING. PLEASE RETURN THE SIGNED FORM AS SOON AS POSSIBLE IF YOU WOULD LIKE YOUR CHILD TO BE SCREENED. THIS IS AN OPT-IN SCREENING. IF YOUR CHILD DOES NOT RETURN THE FORM, HE/SHE WILL NOT BE SCREENED.

Winfield City High School will utilize the OpenGate weapon detection system at tonight’s basketball game against Fayette to enhance safety at our athletic events.
These free-standing scanners are designed to detect weapons while allowing everyday items—such as cell phones, coins, and car keys—to pass through without triggering an alert.
What to Expect:
-Gates will open at 4:00 p.m.
-All spectators will be required to pass through a weapons detector before entering the event. Individuals will walk through the scanner one at a time, along with their personal belongings.
-If the scanner is triggered, additional screening may be required. This could include emptying pockets, screening with a handheld wand, and/or a bag search, if necessary.
The priority of Winfield City Schools is to maintain a welcoming and secure environment while ensuring the safety and well-being of our students, staff, and community. Thank you for your cooperation and support as we work together to keep our schools safe.
