excellent experiences while in our care. We recognize that well-fed students are better prepared and
ready to learn. As a result, it is our responsibility to provide all student with high-quality, nutritious, and
appealing meals each time they visit our cafeterias. Additionally, we work to ensure this is done in a safe,
supportive, and encouraging environment. All school cafeterias offer breakfast and lunch meals to our
students in “offer vs. serve” format, which allows them to decline up to two food items on the tray,
however, a fruit or vegetable serving is required with both meals to meet USDA guidelines. We are
please to announce that Winfield City Schools will be participating in the USDA Community Eligibility
Provision (CEP) again for the 2025-2026 school year. This program allows all student in our system to
enjoy breakfast and lunch FREE each day. We encourage your student(s) to participate daily in this
program in an effort to extend its availability while offered by USDA. Please note, students who elect to
bring their lunch are allowed to also receive FREE meals from their lunchroom. Additionally, students
who may only wish to consume a specific meal item or items may also receive FREE meals. In case, we
encourage that certain allowable foods are deposit on a “Share Table” for other students to receive as
desired.
Please note, lunch applications are not required this year due to our participation in the Community
Eligibility Program (CEP). This is another benefit of the program, which simplifies and expedites the daily
meal service process. Als, in addition to the FREE meals, additional meals or a la carte items are
available for purchase. These purchases may be done with cash or check (in hand) or from funds in
school in the student meal account. For your convenience, Winfield City Schools offer online services
through PayPams. This program allows you to create a free account for your student. For more
information, please visit their website at www.paypams.com. Finally, we encourage you to refer to your
local school for daily menus for breakfast and lunch. School menus are located at
www.winfield.k12.al.us. Simply select the School Meals at the bottom of the school website. Please note
these menus are subject to change due to availability or adverse conditions. If you have any questions,
please do not hesitate to contact your school lunchroom manager, or you may contact the CNP Office at
205-487-0228. That you for the opportunity to serve the students of Winfield City Schools, we look
forward to a great year!

"I’m thrilled to be joining the team at Winfield Elementary," said Beck. " Having family from this area, it feels so good to be back home, surrounded by the people we love. We’re truly grateful for this opportunity—and I can’t wait to get started."

We are pleased to welcome Drake Hall as a Physical Education teacher at Winfield Middle School for the 2025-2026 school year. Mr. Hall holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education from the University of Alabama. He is in his first year of teaching and has been a volunteer coach at Rock Quarry Middle School for two years, helping with football, basketball, and baseball. Hall has a daughter, Finley Hall, who is a second grader at Winfield Elementary School and is engaged to Kenzie Layne.
"I have been waiting for this opportunity for a long time, and I’m truly excited to be back home in Winfield—teaching and coaching the future of our community," said Hall. "It’s an honor to invest in the lives of our students, both in the classroom and on the field. I look forward to watching them grow as learners, athletes, and, most importantly, as individuals."
