Winfield City Schools had a luncheon for retired teachers. We appreciate all of our members of the Pirate Family.




We will have a pep rally for the football team at Middle School Gym tomorrow, November 19th. The pep rally will begin at 8:30 a.m., and each student will be allowed to bring 1 roll of toilet paper to roll them gym. Students come ready to be loud and show the team your support as they prepare to take on the Piedmont Bulldogs in round 3 of the playoffs!
Winfield City Schools served a Thanksgiving meal yesterday at Winfield Elementary School and today at Winfield Middle and High School.


Winfield City Schools CNP is proud to announce a new Farm to School partnership with Vista Farms. This week Winfield High School served Vegetable Beef Soup and Taco Salad using the Vista Farms’ Ultimate Beef. Winfield Elementary School and Winfield Middle School will also be using the Vista Farms’ 100% Angus Beef. Please join us in supporting this local farmer!

If you would be interested in purchasing a seat on a charter bus to the Winfield vs Piedmont game, please contact the high school at 205-487-6900 by 2:30 p.m. today. The cost would be $35 dollars a seat (game ticket NOT included) which would be non-refundable if you decide not to go. The bus would leave around 1:00 p.m. which would allow a stop for a meal prior to the game.

Winfield Basketball reserved seats are on sale for $90, and this covers 10 regular season home games. Student tickets are available for $25. All tickets can be purchased at the High School office.

Mrs. Birmingham's Physic students conducting the Motion of a Falling Marble Lab. They are proving acceleration due to gravity by analyzing distance, time and average and final velocity.




Winfield Elementary School held its annual food drive from Nov. 1 through the 16th. The students brought in a total of 1,622 items. The food donated was to a Thanksgiving outreach in the community.

Varsity girls basketball will play tonight at 6 p.m. against Sulligent. Come and support the Pirates!
This is a message from Winfield City Schools. The Winfield City Schools will dismiss school at 12:00 on Friday, November 19th and be out Monday, November 22nd through Friday, November 26th for Thanksgiving Holidays.

High school students received progress reports today. Parents/guardians please look over them and send them back to the school signed on Tuesday, November 16th.
The Winfield Pirates will be traveling to play the Piedmont Bulldogs in Round 3 of the AHSAA State Playoffs after defeating the Ohatchee Indians 56-27 in the 2nd Round this past Friday night. Tickets for the game against Piedmont must be bought online through GoFan.

CAPTAIN AMERICA read a book to Journeys 21st CCLC @ WES. He encouraged each child to use their own special “super power” to do good things.
Students were excited to see the Captain America shield, talk with Captain America, and ask lots of questions.
