Homecoming Parade/Activities Friday, October 6 will be Winfield City Schools’ Homecoming. We have several activities planned for this day. However, we are also mindful of the weather conditions. There is a slight chance for rain. The safety of our students will always be our first priority. With this in mind, we will continue to monitor weather conditions and make an announcement to inform all stakeholders about activity plans should there be a change. We will do our best to have a parade and homecoming activities at our football game. Weather patterns change and are unpredictable at times. We appreciate your understanding and patience as we prepare for these activities.

The Homecoming Parade will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 6th. We look forward to participating in this event that brings our school and community together. The students at WCHS are our priority, along with our community. In an effort to create a parade route that is conducive to our students and our community, we have created the parade route pictured below. The route was created with our band members in mind and intended to be as visible as possible to our community members. Before the downtown route, the participants will conduct a parade that creates a safer environment for our elementary, middle, and high school students who do not check out. Also, the parade will extend down County Highway 14 to allow our local nursing home residents an opportunity to view it. The band members will not have to march for the duration of that route to make their march downtown more feasible. Also, the band will conclude its portion of the downtown parade after turning on Ashwood Drive. We appreciate everyone's understanding and look forward to a great Homecoming Parade! Go Pirates!
