Winfield City Schools Child Nutrition Program had a busy week preparing 1053 Thanksgiving meals for their students and faculty. Thank you, CNP for doing a wonderful job!


The WCHS CTE will be discussing "CHRISTMAS IN THE CITY" on The Spotlight this morning. Tune-in at 7:30 to 97.7 WKXM for all of the festive details!


Christmas in the City Holiday Market is a WCHS CTE fundraiser and a way of bringing our community and others around us together to celebrate the holidays. We welcome you to join us on Saturday, November 18, 2023, from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. for a fun and festive event. The market will be located in the commons and courtyard at Winfield City High School. We have over 40 vendors selling gifts, jewelry, Christmas decorations, food items, clothing, home décor, handmade creations, and other specialty items. If you did not purchase a ticket from a student, you can get one at the door (tickets are $5) . We would love for you to join us for this event. We hope to see you there!!--

Winfield City Schools Child Nutrition Program will be having a Thanksgiving meal for our students today at the Elementary and Middle School and tomorrow at the High School. Some of the menu items are Turkey and Dressing or Chicken Nuggets or Chicken Tenders and all the side dishes with a special dessert.


All 3 campuses will be participating in a Thanksgiving Food Drive to assist the with donations for families in our area. We have divided up the needs by grades as follows:
12th - peanut butter
11th - macaroni and cheese
10h - juice boxes (fruit punch, orange pineapple, apple juice)
9th - cereal
8th - peanut butter
7th - pop tarts
6th - cans of spaghetti or beefaroni
5th - oatmeal packets
4th - fruit cups
3rd - applesauce cups
2nd - cans of corn, beans and peas
1st - cans of beanie weenies
Kindergarten - cans of tuna
Pre-K - cereal
Boxes will be placed at each school for collections.

Playoffs begin tonight for Winfield City Pirates Football!


Winfield will host Colbert County in the first round of the AHSAA State playoffs tomorrow, Thursday, November 9 at Estes Hudson Stadium. Kickoff is set for 7:00 p.m. Tickets ($12) may be purchased at the gate or through GoFan. Unfortunately, all season passes (student, season tickets, etc.) will not be allowed for admission to the game. All spectators will be required to purchase a ticket. Go Pirates!

Winfield City Basketball team shop is open until Nov. 20 for all the clothing and accessories for the upcoming season.

The cosmetology students toured the cosmetology program at Bevill State today. They shopped for their upcoming fashion show and stopped by the professional hair supply store to tour. They then topped the day off with snow cones from Snow Biz. It was fun filled, productive day.










Veteran's Day Program - Thursday, November 9 @ 9am. Light refreshments will be served in the library before the program. Veterans - Please arrive between 8:00am and 8:45am.


Winfield City High School Students can either enjoy a bowl of Taco Soup or Crispitos for lunch today with Refried Beans, Fiesta Rice, Vegetable Bar, Fruit/Fruit Juice, Muffin and Milk today for lunch.
