WMS Students of the Month for March 2023


Volleyball tryouts for grades 6-11 will be April 3rd-5th at the WCHS gym. Times are as follows: 4/3 from 3-5, 4/4 from 3-4:15 and 4/5 from 3-4:30. Current WCHS softball players will tryout on April 2nd from 1:30-3.

The Alabama Department of Human Resources (DHR) on Tuesday announced plans to issue Summer Pandemic EBT (P-EBT) benefits to an estimated 530,000 children who receive free or reduced-price school meals through the National School Lunch Program.
Qualifying households will get $120 for each participating student to buy SNAP-eligible food at stores that accept Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) cards. The benefits are expected to start rolling out in mid-to-late summer.



Winfield athletics hosted a powerlifting meet yesterday at the multipurpose facility. Several schools from the area participated, and over 70 of our student athletes competed.

WCHS & FCCLA are working together to help others in our community.


Congratulations to our High School Wind Ensemble on their outstanding performance at MPA! These students scored a 1, 2, 1 on stage and received a 1 in sight-reading for an overall 1!
We must also extend congratulations to our Middle School Symphonic Band for their performance yesterday! For most of those students, it was their first time playing in front of a judging panel and they handled it like professionals. The Winfield Pirate Band has lots to be proud of!
