Mrs. Birmingham's rocketry team has been competing at the American Rocketry Challenge today, and they have advanced to round 2. The competition began with 100 teams from all over the United States, and now there are 42 teams advancing to round 2.



The 2023 WCHS commencement ceremony will be tonight, May 19, at Estes Hudson Stadium. The gates will open at 5:30 p.m. and the commencement will begin at 7:00 p.m.

Jacob Chism and Jack Hayden Cook were ambassadors from Winfield City High School for the Alabama Legislative session in Montgomery on Tuesday, May 16.

Lady Pirate basketball tryouts tomorrow, Wednesday May 17, 2023 for girls entering 7th and 8th grade. Tryouts will be at the high school gym right after school until 5pm.
Friendly reminder that tomorrow 5/15 is Field Day for WMS. Shorts are permitted as long as they are appropriate length.

School Lunch Hero Day is celebrated annually since 2013. It was designated by the School Nutrition Association and Jarrett Krosoczka, author of the “Lunch Lady” graphic novel series. School Lunch Hero Day provides an opportunity for parents, students, school staff, and communities to thank those who provide healthy meals to nearly 30 million of America’s students each school day.
