This plan describes the district’s educational approach to providing appropriate services to EL students and families in our community.

Thursday Nov. 10, will be last day to turn in the Winfield City Baseball clothing order form to the office of the elementary, middle and high school.

Friday November 11, at Winfield City High School Gym at 5 p.m., come meet the Basketball teams teams for 2022. Our Varsity and JV, and Jr High teams will be featured plus our TVBA teams. Admission is a $5 or more donation at the door.

Winfield City Schools will be hosting our annual Veteran’s Day program on Thursday, November 10 at 9 am in the gymnasium. Veterans participating in the program are invited for light refreshments in the library starting at 8 am.

Winfield City Child Nutrition will be serving persimmons in the lunchrooms this week that were grown in Alabama. Persimmons a fruit that comes from certain trees in the genus Diospyros. Like the tomato, it is technically a berry but is rarely considered one. The fruit is picked in late fall and sometimes stays on the tree into winter. Persimmons are loaded with vitamin, minerals, antioxidants, and fiber. Persimmons are naturally sweet.

Winfield City High School will have our 2nd FAFSA help event on Monday, November 7th, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Seniors and parents/guardians may drop by at any time during the event. BSCC representatives will be available to help with FAFSA and financial aid questions. Students and parents should bring their FSA ID information along with 2021 tax return documents. The FAFSA is now a requirement for graduation.

All donations will benefit local families in need.
WCHS Student Council handed out candy to students today and reminded them to “be sweet! Don’t do Drugs!”

Our Winfield Pirates will host the Geraldine Bulldogs in the first round of the AHSAA State Playoffs on Friday, November 4th at Estes Hudson Stadium. The game is set to start at 7:00 p.m. All tickets must be purchased through GoFan.
