Substitute Bus Drivers- The Winfield City School District is looking for qualified, substitute bus drivers or individuals interested in becoming a certified bus driver. Interested applicants can contact Alan Smith at 205-546-0561.
Please remember that our school buses will be on the roads beginning Thursday, August 10. Thank you for watching and keeping our students safe.
Learn and obey the "flashing signal light system" that school bus drivers use to alert motorists of pending actions:
⚠ Yellow flashing lights indicate the bus is preparing to stop to load or unload children. Motorists should slow down and prepare to stop their vehicles.
🔴 Red flashing lights and extended stop arms indicate the bus has stopped and children are getting on or off. Motorists must stop their cars and wait until the red lights stop flashing, the extended stop-arm is withdrawn, and the bus begins moving before they can start driving again.

The transportation department will have a table at all schools’ open house. Please stop by if you have any questions related to transportation.
Kindergarten phase-in days will be Thursday, August 10, and Friday, August 11. All kindergarten students will attend school on Monday, August 14. Your teacher will notify you of your student's phase-in day during Open House on August 8 at 5:30. If you cannot attend Open House, you will be notified on August 9.
Students in grades 11 and 12 who are interested in taking dual enrollment chemistry with Dr. Taylor need to contact Dr. Aldridge, Mr. Isom, or Mrs. Weeks. This class will be hosted on campus.
The football program will have a work day, at the stadium, on Saturday, August 5 beginning at 7:00 a.m.

Stuff the bus!! Take advantage of tax free weekend, and help students in need at Winfield City Schools by stuffing the bus with school supplies. The bus will be parked at Walmart.
Winfield's Elliott Overton named Co-MVP of Boys Golf for the North team at the AHSAA All-Star week Golf Tournament. Overton and Homewood's Jonathan Peters, led the North to wins in the first competition of the week winning the Boy’s Golf with a score of 55-35. Congratulations!

Guardians of Kindergarten Students, due to the possibility of an increase in enrollment, you will not receive a designated homeroom teacher at this time. An additional kindergarten classroom is possible, so we do not want to assign students to a specific teacher prematurely. We appreciate your understanding and patience.

Title 1 Parent Meeting
Open House for Winfield Middle School will be Tuesday, August 8th. There will be an Orientation in the cafeteria for 5th Grade beginning at 5pm. Grades 6th-8th will begin at 6pm.
